Meet Michael
Michael Lemmer - CEO & Founder
Michael Lemmer
Michael founded ML6 Search + Talent Advisory in 2017 after a successful corporate career, where he built and led high-performance teams across various functions and industries. Throughout his journey, his ability to identify and nurture key talent remained constant, helping take teams and businesses to the next level. In his most recent role, he led the Human Resources function for a private equity-backed healthcare services provider, growing it from 30 to over 200 locations across Canada.
Additionally, Michael holds a B. Comm from the University of South Africa, specializing in Management, and began his career in sales and business development. While he often reminisces about weekends spent climbing and braaiing in South Africa, Canada has been his home since 2008. In his downtime, he enjoys running local trails, camping with his family, and caring for his chickens, bees, and vegetable garden. Michael now lives in rural Burlington with his wife, four active children, and two pups, Kensi and Khali.

Jeff Garvin - President
Jeff Garvin
Jeff joined ML6 in January 2018, bringing extensive experience in Talent and HR leadership from large multinational organizations and high-growth Canadian start-ups. He is passionate about building and leading successful teams, analyzing challenges, and delivering custom solutions that meet organizational goals. Jeff holds an honours BA in Labour Studies from McMaster University, where he played varsity rugby, winning 3 OUA championships. He later completed a Post-grad in HR Management at Humber College. Jeff now lives in Burlington with his wife, Erin, sons, Wyatt and Lincoln, and dog, Scoots. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, reading, and gaming.

Allison Roadknight - COO
Allison Roadknight
Allison joined ML6 in June 2021 as Vice President of the Engineering Division, bringing 14 years of experience in recruitment, particularly in Engineering within the Manufacturing Sector. She is passionate about fully integrating into her clients' businesses to act as a true market extension. Allison holds an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Guelph. She and her husband, Mike, lead an active life with their two children. The family enjoys downhill skiing, and when not at the hockey or ringette arenas, they can be found cheering at the baseball diamond.
Meet Samantha
Samantha West - Director, Engineering
Samantha West
Samantha joined ML6 in March 2023 as the Director of Engineering, bringing over a decade of experience in recruitment, specializing in Engineering within heavy industries, construction, and consulting. She collaborates closely with clients and candidates, acting as a personal consultant for staffing and resource needs. The human element of the business is especially important to her.
Samantha holds a degree in Sociology and Criminology from the University of Guelph. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, hiking, and attending live music events.

Yann Callender - Manager, Mining
Yann Callender
Yann joined ML6 in June 2022 to lead the Mining Division. He is an experienced bilingual Account Manager & Recruiter with over 10 years of experience managing Mining & Engineering accounts across North America and internationally. His exceptional customer service skills enable him to build long-term business relationships based on trust and proven performance. Yann is a results-driven Recruitment Professional with extensive experience in both domestic and international mining industries. He believes in driving ML6's culture of success through long-term partnerships and is directly responsible for the integrity, productivity, and continual improvement of the Mining Division.
Yann graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK with a bachelor’s degree in International Business and French and spent a semester studying at IPAG Business School in Nice, France. Outside the office, Yann enjoys watching Liverpool football, playing sports, and spending time with his wife and dog.

Spencer Cushing
Spencer joined ML6 in July 2022 as a Senior Associate, bringing over two years of recruitment experience across sectors including technology, food & beverage, consumer goods, medical devices, non-profits, and industrial manufacturing. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Trinity Western University, specializing in marketing. Spencer’s upbeat nature helps him build strong relationships with clients and candidates. He relentlessly seeks to provide tailored talent solutions that drive growth. Spencer lives in Waterdown with his wife, Shauna, and their puppy, Pumpkin. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing and supporting his Buffalo Bills and Sabres.

Joe Howard - Manager, Corporate
Joe Howard
Joe transitioned to Talent Acquisition and ML6 from a background in technical sales in the UK. After completing an MSc in Environmental Monitoring and Analysis at Aberystwyth University, he worked with several organizations connecting clients to technical applications in the scientific and manufacturing sectors. After a stint as a Ski Instructor and Mountain Bike guide in British Columbia, Joe returned to his passion for connecting people with solutions at ML6. In his free time, you can find him skiing or biking in the wet mountains of BC, depending on the season.

Isabelle Knebel
Isabelle joined ML6 in January 2021 as a Senior Associate Search with a focus on Business Development. A trilingual leader with over 20 years of experience, she has helped companies across various industries and continents find their perfect match. Her strengths lie in building lasting client relationships, Account Management, and Head-Hunting. Though she misses the Swiss Alps, Isabelle has called Canada home since 2007 and now enjoys sailing on Lake Ontario with her husband and teenage son.

Angela Dravis
Angie joined the ML6 team in September 2020 as an Associate Recruiter. Throughout her career, she has been driven by helping others achieve their professional goals through her extensive experience in recruitment and consulting. Angie leverages her expertise in career development, coaching, executive placement, and technical recruiting. With over a decade in talent acquisition, she excels at engaging top talent. Angie enjoys spending time with her daughter, husband, and friends, often sharing laughs, great food, and meaningful conversations. In her downtime, she loves catching up on her favorite shows.

Christian Shewchuk - Senior Associate, Engineering
Christian Shewchuk
Christian joined ML6 in November 2020, bringing with him nine years of experience recruiting within the manufacturing industry. He has worked on a diverse portfolio of roles, ranging from skilled trades to industrial management. Christian attended Mohawk College in Hamilton, where he earned his Diploma in Advertising, which opened the door to his recruitment career, where he found his niche. Christian currently resides in Stoney Creek with his wife, Jessica, and their Chihuahua, Prim. In his downtime, Christian enjoys spending time with his family, watching Star Wars and Marvel movies, and playing video games like Call of Duty and Assassin’s Creed.

Erin Garvin
Erin joined ML6 in January 2020 to assist with Business Development. Bringing over 10 years of sales and business development experience, she has worked across various industries, including recruitment, management consulting, hospitality, retail, and marketing. Erin is passionate about building and maintaining relationships, which is central to her role. She holds an Honors BA in English and Sociology from the University of Guelph. In her free time, Erin enjoys relaxing at her family camp (what Northern Ontarians call a cottage) with her husband, Jeff, their sons, Wyatt and Lincoln, and their dog, Scoots.

Monique Lemmer - Office Administrator
Monique Lemmer
Monique joined ML6 in October 2022. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and German, with a minor in French, from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Before immigrating to Canada, she taught French and German at the Alliance Francaise of Port Elizabeth. Since moving to Canada, Monique has dedicated her time to managing her family’s busy schedules. She currently resides in rural Burlington with her husband, four children, and a menagerie of pets, including two dogs, four snakes, a hamster, and a brood of chickens.

Brandon Murray - Senior Associate, Technology
Brandon Murray
Brandon rejoined ML6 in January 2023, bringing over four years of recruitment experience in the Technology sector. His passion for all things tech fuels his conversations with clients and candidates, where he enjoys discussing the latest industry trends. Brandon prides himself on his genuine curiosity and dedication to understanding candidates' needs, ensuring he connects them with the right employers. He holds a Master’s Degree in Sociology from Queen’s University and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from Humber College.
Interestingly, this is not Brandon’s first time with ML6—he began his recruitment career with the company in 2018 after finishing his studies. Brandon now resides in Waterdown with his wife, Charlotte, their daughter, Matilda, and their dog, Kiki. Outside of work, he enjoys playing collectable card games with friends, such as Magic the Gathering, and working on his golf game, hoping one day to beat his Father-in-Law at a round!

Connor Fletcher - Senior Associate, Engineering
Connor Fletcher
Connor joined ML6 in February 2023 as a Senior Associate, bringing four years of recruiting experience. He has focused on a diverse portfolio of roles across various industries, with a strong specialization in sales and healthcare recruitment. Connor has successfully partnered with both early-stage startups and Fortune 500 companies, providing strategic advice on talent acquisition and growth. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Carleton University and later earned a Post-Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management from Humber College.
Currently residing in Alberta with his fiancée and their dog, Dobby (a Boston Terrier/Pug mix), Connor enjoys spending time with family and friends. Outside of work, he can often be found playing guitar, snowboarding, hiking, and travelling.

Denver Barr - Senior Associate, Engineering
Denver Barr
Denver joined ML6 in May 2024 as a Senior Associate on the Engineering team, focusing on technical roles within supply chain, construction, consulting engineering, and manufacturing sectors. Denver prides himself on providing a unique and in-depth experience for both candidates and clients, stating that there are "no time limits" when it comes to understanding their needs. He holds an Honours Degree from York University, double-majoring in Kinesiology and Psychology, along with a certificate in Sports Administration.
Outside of work, Denver is actively involved in coaching and supporting his four children in their various activities, including rep hockey, baseball, volleyball, and competitive dance. Amid his busy schedule, Denver also enjoys playing competitive volleyball year-round, both beach and indoor, and can often be found on the baseball diamond during the summer months.

Alanna Dunbar - Manager, Marketing
Alanna Dunbar
With six years of experience in digital marketing, Alanna specializes in marketing strategy, content creation, and lead generation. She has particular expertise in recruitment marketing, working with organizations across Canada in contingent, executive search, and contract hiring. Alanna holds a BBA in Marketing and International Business from Simon Fraser University. In 2024, she joined ML6 as the Marketing Manager, bringing a deep understanding of market dynamics and driving brand growth and engagement. Outside of work, Alanna is passionate about long-distance running, hiking, and traveling to explore diverse cultures.
Her enthusiasm for digital marketing is matched by her love of the outdoors. She spends her downtime running BC’s trails, hiking, or immersing herself in new cultural experiences through travel. Alanna continually seeks fresh challenges to enrich her professional and personal life, consistently delivering innovative solutions that align with her team’s goals.
